Stiltsville Tour by Pardo 38

There used to be 27 houses on stilts in the shallows south of Cape Florida. Hurricane Andrew took most of them in 1992. Seven survived. Today they sit a mile offshore in three feet of water, owned by the National Park Service, and you can only see them from a boat. Your captain tells the real story, not the tourist one.

What you'll see on a Stiltsville boat tour

We cruise the perimeter of all seven houses, drop anchor at the south edge of the flats, and you can swim in the same shallows the houses sit in. The water out there is the bluest in Biscayne Bay because the bottom is white sand. On a clear day you can see the shadow of the boat on the bottom from the bow.

Pair your Stiltsville tour with these add-ons

Most people pair the Stiltsville tour with lunch at Boater's Grill in No Name Harbor (a 10-minute cruise away) and an afternoon at Nixon Sandbar (15 minutes north). That's the classic Dolly half-day if you want it programmed. Or do all of it as a full-day with sunset back.
